We're a team of Dutch interior design lovers with a penchant for things that are a little left of centre. Because what's style without a little bit of fun, right? Led by Richard Halberstadt, who's been in the furniture design biz for over 20 years, Bold Monkey embodies a flamboyant, eccentric aesthetic.
Meet our boldest monkey
From as early on as he can remember, Richard has always been drawn to the unconventional. It's this obsession with the atypical that's resulted in him continually trying to push the boundaries of what's considered "good taste".
Richard's underlying interest in exploring the unconventional was the starting point of Bold Monkey. In a nutshell? Bold Monkey is Richard Halberstadt's personal design playground.
Richard and the team are quite literally inspired by everything and anything - from a scrap of material found on the cutting room floor to the seat covers of a train in a long lost land. Together, their aim is to challenge tastes and push the boundaries of interior design.
