More questions about Michael Jackson’s medications arose Tuesday when a nurse came forward to say that Jackson had asked her in April for a power sedative.

Cherilyn Lee, a registered nurse who operates a Los Angeles-based nutritional counseling business, told CNN that Jackson was complaining of insomnia and pleaded for her to get him some Diprivan (propofol), a drug usually used to start or maintain anesthesia during surgeries.

Lee said she told Jackson “the medication is not safe.”

MySpace fires 30% of it's US workforce. This is due in part to falling advertising sales and gains by larger rival Facebook Inc. The cuts total about 400 workers, leaving 1000 people at the struggling unit of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. MySpace was once the world's largest online social network. MySpace was purchased for $580 million by media mogul Rupert Murdoch's NewsCorp in 2005, when it was the leading social network.

The Food and Drug Administration has issued an immediate recall of these Zicam products. There have been more than 130 reports of anosmia, or loss of sense of smell after using it. The FDA is concerned that the condition may be permanent.

Red yeast rice is produced when a yeast, Monascus purpureus, is grown on rice. It has been used in Asian countries for more than a thousand years as food and medicine. In the United States and Europe, it has been proposed as an alternative cholesterol-lowering treatment for people who cannot take statins because of severe side effects, mainly muscle wasting and weakness.
